Lady GaGa Sets Digital Downloads Record

Lady Gaga’s The Fame this week becomes the best-selling album in the U.S. digital history! With digital sales of over copies 783,000 it surpasses the previous record holder, Coldplay’s Viva La Vida.

The Fame has sold over 3,539,000 copies (digital and physical) in the United States to date. This number includes sales of the deluxe edition of The Fame Monster, but doesn’t count the 8-track EP with additional sales of over 1,170,000 copies.

The tracks on The Fame have sold 24,645,000 digital copies combined, which is an all-time record. The closest runners-up are the Black Eyed Peas’ The E.N.D. with 17,878,000 digital downloads and Rihanna’s Good Girl Gone Bad with 17,041,000.

I'd say that this is a pretty cool record to have broken!! She just keeps on breaking records!

Lady GaGa Releasing Remix Album On August 3rd

Little monsters who are starting to itch for a new fix need only hold on til Aug. 3, when Lady Gaga will release a disc full of remixes in the U.S. This will be the first American release for The Remix, which is already an international hit after arriving overseas earlier this spring. In a press release, Interscope Records says that the U.S. version of the set will include 10 reconfigured tracks from The Fame and The Fame Monster, covering the hits from “Just Dance” to “Paparazzi” to “Bad Romance” to “Telephone” and beyond.

I probably won't be buying the album, even though I'm a huge fan. I've never really liked remixes. I'll be waiting for the next studio album. 

Pete Wentz Unveils New Band & 2 New Songs

Since Fall Out Boy has gone on hiatus, and every other member of the band is on to new projects, Pete Wentz has created a new band with a currently unknown female vocalist called Black Cards, modeled as Bl4ck C4rds. It's a lot different from Fall Out Boy's sound. I'm not really sure what to think of it yet, but I kind of like it.  It's a refreshing & new sound.  He's released clips of 2 new songs called "Club Called Heaven" and "Beating In My Chest" on Black Card's offical site: http://blackcardsmusic.com/ .

Miley's New Album 'Can't Be Tamed' Out Now!!!

Miley Cyrus's new album 'Can't Be Tamed' is in stores and on iTunes now. It has a lot of good tracks on it. My favorites are "Liberty Walk", "Stay", "My Heart Beats For Love", her cover of Poison's "Every Rose Has Its Thorn", "Who Owns My Heart", and "Robot". Overall I like this album a lot better than any of her others. Got it at Target last night.

New 'Eclipse' Featurette

A new 'Eclipse' clip hit the web today. It seems like they're going a little overboard with all the clips and featurettes coming out. The whole movie will be out by the time June 30 comes around. Can't wait until then though!!! Liked all the vampire and newborn stuff in the clip. Really liking what 'Eclipse' will be like. Hopefully it will be much better than 'New Moon'. Can't wait for all the action!

Selena Gomez & The Scene: New Single

Selena Gomez's new single "Round and Round" has premiered. The music video premieres June 20. I like the song but "Naturally" is better IMO. Definitely buying it on iTunes June 21.
